AE COMMUNITY

Coming December 2026

A large red sign with white text that reads 'Community is Strength.' Below, in smaller text, it says 'Be strong. Let's look out for one another.' The sign is mounted on a building with large windows and upper story brick architecture, with a cloudy sky above.

Join a free, global community where disabled, neurodivergent, and marginalized humans connect, care, and empower one another

Community Feels Like

Come be our new friend!

The AE Community is for disabled, neurodivergent, and other marginalized humans looking for connection and support. Here, you can join monthly support groups, participate in body-doubling sessions, take part in book clubs, attend local meetups, play games and chat with friends, and access resources to practice self-advocacy. This is a space to build real relationships, share experiences, and find practical support in your day-to-day life.

Two women sitting on a tan leather couch, laughing and sharing a moment while looking at a tablet. One woman is opening a Christmas gift.
A person wearing sunglasses and a green jacket stands on a mountain trail overlooking a turquoise lake surrounded by evergreen trees and mountains with cloudy skies overhead.

Meet your host

Kris Joy (they / he)

Traveling across the United States in their campervan, Kris is building community wherever they go by hosting local meetups where people can share their stories, make friends, and feel seen. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, they’ve spent much of their life exploring what home, belonging, and identity truly mean. Today, they partner with organizations to create spaces where all brains, bodies, and backgrounds can thrive.

The AE Community grew from that same vision - a desire to make connection more accessible, intentional, and grounded in action. It’s a free, global space where disabled, neurodivergent, and marginalized humans can make friends and practice self-advocacy in safety and solidarity.
