About This Event
Join us for the very first Advocates Empowered Community Meetup, a warm, welcoming space to make friends, share stories, and connect with others who understand what it means to build belonging.
This gathering is open to disabled, neurodivergent, queer, trans, BIPOC, and otherwise marginalized humans, as well as our children, dependents, and service pets. Everyone is welcome to come as they are.
There will be no forced introductions or awkward small talk- just authentic connection through meaningful, guided activities designed to help you feel seen and supported.
The event will be casual and accessible, with an agenda shared a few days before so you know exactly what to expect. We will be in a family friendly environment.
What to Expect
Our meetups are a reflection of our monthly virtual gatherings rooted in listening, storytelling, and care. You’ll have the opportunity to:
Meet others in your local community
Share pieces of your story in low-pressure ways
Learn small practices for community-building and self-advocacy
Reflect on what belonging means to you
Think cozy, hands-on, and collaborative -maybe a creative icebreaker, shared art project, or small-group reflection circle. (Final agenda coming soon!)
Why We Gather
This is the beginning of something bigger- a movement toward accessible, intentional, in-person connection. Our goal is for these local gatherings to grow into community-led meetups across cities, built on the same values of care, curiosity, and interdependence that guide Advocates Empowered.
